We arrived in Rarotonga after a windless passage from Tahiti. On the way me met Bedouin again and gave her a tow. The folks are great and the second largest source of income for the Cook Islands is the sale of postage stamps! The night before we departed Dave found a copy of the Queens Birthday Storm documentary and played it for Elvira & Esther. That was really mean because we later hit bad weather on the way to New Zealand. After watching all those boats being capsized and sunk in the movie, Esther & Elvira tore their bible in half and one prayed the New Testament while the other prayed the Old Testament. They swapped halves ever day and I've never seen them read so fast since. |
